Almonte wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jack Greene, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Tradition Prep is undefeated when Greene posts two or more runs, but 1-8 otherwise. Another was Aliet Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Lake Worth had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Pahokee with a sharp 17-7 win on Thursday.
Like Tradition Prep, Lake Worth also got a great game from a two-way player: Sven Ostrander. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ostrander has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Lake Worth let Erik Lee and Gabeson Gabriel run wild.
