Make it nine blowout wins for the Mount Si Wildcats this season. They were the clear victor by a 63-38 margin over Roosevelt. Winning may never get old, but Mount Si sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Leading Mount Si to victory were Trevor Hennig and Latt Ford. Hennig scored 20 points along with five rebounds, while Ford scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. Ford hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Forrest, who scored two points along with 11 assists and five rebounds.
Roosevelt lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Anthony Washington, who scored eight points. Jackson Huntington was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Mount Si's victory was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.32 points. As for Roosevelt, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4.
Mount Si won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Creek at 7:15 p.m. on January 16th. North Creek has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Roosevelt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Roosevelt is ranked 60th).
