Basketball Recap: Somerset Academy Losee Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Somerset Academy Losee won the last time they faced Doral Academy Red Rock, and Roderick Johnson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Somerset Academy Losee Lions blew past the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons 83-40 on Friday thanks in part to Johnson, who posted 20 points. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Antwan Jones, who scored 11 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Somerset Academy Losee is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset Academy Losee will head out to face off against Amplus Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they are taking a road trip to square off against Boulder City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Boulder City has nine straight victories, Doral Academy Red Rock has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
