The International Studies Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 64-42 walloping at the hands of Somerset Academy Central Miramar. If International Studies hoped to take revenge for the 56-21 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Landon Vega went supernova for Somerset Academy Central Miramar, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 4 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vega has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Petit, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
International Studies' defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Somerset Academy Central Miramar, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. International Studies will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Varsity Opponent at 3:30 p.m. on January 29th. As for Somerset Academy Central Miramar, they will challenge Carol City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
