The Rosman Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 29 points or more this season. They really took it to Blue Ridge Early College for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-27 victory on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-17.
Rosman's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kiahna Sexton, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Powell (sykes), who scored 12 points.
Blue Ridge Early College's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooklyn Kenney, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. Kenney scored a full 29.6% of Blue Ridge Early College's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. April Corona was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
The victory (which was Rosman's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Blue Ridge Early College, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rosman will face off against Avery County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Blue Ridge Early College won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Cherokee presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Blue Ridge Early College in North Carolina (Cherokee is ranked 110th, while Blue Ridge Early College is ranked 578th).
