Mission Vista will head out to square off against the San Pasqual Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Pasqual took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Mission Vista, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Mission Vista made easy work of Sage Creek and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Mission Vista.
Mission Vista never let Sage Creek on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-19.
Meanwhile, San Pasqual was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Fallbrook, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Golden Eagles have suffered against the Warriors since October 17, 2022.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-13, 25-21.
Mission Vista will have to keep a close watch on Talia Travassos and Carianne Blodgett, a pair of players who had a big impact on San Pasqual's prior game. Travassos had six digs and three aces, while Blodgett had 12 digs.
Mission Vista's win bumped their record up to 22-10. As for San Pasqual, their loss dropped their record down to 5-18.
Everything went Mission Vista's way against San Pasqual in their previous meeting on October 2nd, as Mission Vista made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mission Vista since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
