The Valley Christian Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 22 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Holbrook 91-50 on the road. Given Valley Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Holbrook is ranked 104th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Wallace, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Luke Shaw, who scored 25 points.
Valley Christian's victory was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.08 points. As for Holbrook, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Christian will square off against Scottsdale Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Holbrook, they will head out on the road to face off against Blue Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
