The Passaic Indians fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Seton Hall Prep Pirates on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Gino Romano was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Seton Hall Prep's points. Michael Klimas was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Passaic's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-2. As for Seton Hall Prep, their win bumped their record up to an identical 1-2.
Passaic will be home for the holidays to greet Kearny at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seton Hall Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
