They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 51-28 walloping at the hands of Calvary Christian Academy. Jupiter Christian found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post nine fewer assists than your opponent.
Despite the loss, Jupiter Christian saw an underclassman step up: Addison Simmons dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Simmons is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.
Calvary Christian Academy was led to victory by Teagan Wakefield and Taryn Wakefield. Wakefield scored 15 points along with five assists and two steals, while Wakefield scored 14 points along with three steals. Wakefield has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Laynie Redman, who scored six points along with four steals.
Jupiter Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-13 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Jupiter Christian and Leonard will face off at 4:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
