Liberty has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Browne Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Liberty had just enough and edged Mountain Ridge out 2-1. The victory was just what Liberty needed coming off of a 6-1 defeat in their prior match.
Sarah Wilson was the driving force of Liberty's attack as she scored both of Liberty's goals. With that big game, she's now up to six goals this season.
Meanwhile, Browne put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Maryvale a 3-0 shutout. Give Browne's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.
Liberty's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7-3. As for Browne, they pushed their record up to 13-4-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
