The Lincoln Southeast Knights stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 78-50 victory over Lincoln High. Given Lincoln Southeast's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Lincoln High is ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Taye Moore was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Deng Giet was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Lincoln Southeast is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Lincoln High, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Lincoln Southeast will head out on the road to take on Lincoln East at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln High, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Fremont at 5:15 p.m.
