The Seeger Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Seeger is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Seeger and Parke Heritage, and Seeger kept the tradition alive. The Patriots put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 21-8 victory on Saturday.

The team relied heavily on Kaylyn Wheeler, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Kalli Peterson was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Seeger always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Lafayette Jefferson posted their closest win since April 12th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Richmond 7-5. The win was nothing new for the Bronchos as they're now sitting on three straight.
Sayler Teal made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Teal was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Rilee Clifton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maya Thomas, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Seeger is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Lafayette Jefferson, their record is now 10-8.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Seeger hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Lafayette Jefferson struggles in that department as they've averaged .360. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
