The Fuchs Mizrachi Mayhem were the 57-54 winner over Grand River Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Fuchs Mizrachi lost to Grand River Academy on the road by a decisive 71-52 margin on Thursday. Fuchs Mizrachi has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Grand River Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Filip Runjo led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Runjo hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Joseph Quartey, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Fuchs Mizrachi's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Grand River Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Fuchs Mizrachi and Reimer Road Baptist Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Grand River Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
