The Okawville Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 26 points or more this season. They breezed by Red Bud at home to the tune of 59-23. Winning may never get old, but Okawville sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Okawville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alayna Kraus, who scored 18 points along with three steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Kraus has scored at least 25% of Okawville's points. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Wienstroer, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Okawville's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Red Bud, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
Okawville will square off against Civic Memorial at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Red Bud, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against East Alton-Wood River at 7:00 p.m.
