On Friday, The John Curtis Christian Patriots faced the Brother Martin Crusaders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. John Curtis Christian took down Brother Martin 26-7. The win was nothing new for John Curtis Christian as they're now sitting on three straight.
Among those leading the charge was Marlon Prout, who rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries. Prout really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.
John Curtis Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Brother Martin, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.
John Curtis Christian will head out on the road to face off against Edna Karr at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edna Karr is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Brother Martin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
