After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pyramid Lake, the Mountain View Christian Saints were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 43-35 victory over Liberty Baptist Academy. This was payback for Mountain View Christian, who suffered a 46-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Liberty Baptist Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaiah Duran, who scored 10 points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Campbell, who scored 8 points.
The win got Mountain View Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sandy Valley at 12:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Liberty Baptist Academy, they will be playing at home against Beatty at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
