The Cumberland Gap Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Union County 80-44. Cumberland Gap has not had much luck with Union County recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Cumberland Gap had strong showings from Brady Harris, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Kolton Goins, who scored 16 points. Harris hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games.
Cumberland Gap has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Union County, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cumberland Gap will face off against Gibbs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Union County, Union County and Washburn will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Washburn is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
