After only 25 points in their last contest, Newberry Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against Oconee Christian Academy on Monday. Newberry Academy was the clear victor by a 56-33 margin over Oconee Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Newberry Academy has posted yet this season.
Cambridge Academy was handed a two-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against King Academy on Friday. Cambridge Academy blew past King Academy, posting a 57-27 win on the road.
Cambridge Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Maddox Lee, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists, and Andrew Wiley, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Wiley hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Funderburk, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
The win got Newberry Academy back to even at 10-10. As for Cambridge Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Everything came up roses for Newberry Academy against Cambridge Academy when the teams last played last Friday as the team secured a 62-25 win.
