Lausanne Collegiate has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Harding Academy Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
On Tuesday, Lausanne Collegiate came up short against First Assembly Christian and fell 61-51. While losing is never fun, Lausanne Collegiate can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while First Assembly Christian is ranked fifth).
The losing side was boosted by Carson Boyle, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Ford, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Harding Academy put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season two weeks ago. They put the hurt on St. George's with a sharp 78-55 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Harding Academy has posted since November 21, 2023.
Lausanne Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Harding Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home.
Lausanne Collegiate didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Harding Academy in their previous meeting on January 9th, but they still walked away with a 53-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lausanne Collegiate since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
