The Leyton Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Garden County Eagles on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Leyton had to suffer through a rough 49-11 loss at the hands of Hyannis. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Leyton has scored all season.
Kaleb Miller was Leyton's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Austin Beutler held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Garden County ended up a good deal behind Hyannis on Tuesday and lost 54-35.
Despite the defeat, Garden County had strong showings from Wilsie Lobner, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds, and Logan Levick, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Levick is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played.
Leyton now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Garden County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Leyton have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Garden County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Leyton lost to Garden County at home by a decisive 54-37 margin in their previous matchup back in January. Will Leyton have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
