DSST: Cedar is 6-1 against DSST: Green Valley Ranch since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The DSST: Cedar Falcons will be playing at home against the DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully DSST: Cedar focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Wednesday.
Last Wednesday, DSST: Cedar was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-38 to Addenbrooke Classical Academy. DSST: Cedar has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Katelyn Fortune, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. She also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Raniya Paul, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, DSST: Green Valley Ranch scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 39-28 victory over DSST: Conservatory Green. The win was just what DSST: Green Valley Ranch needed coming off of a 56-23 loss in their prior game.
DSST: Cedar now has a losing record at 5-6. As for DSST: Green Valley Ranch, their win ended a 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8.
Everything came up roses for DSST: Cedar against DSST: Green Valley Ranch in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 52-25 win. Will DSST: Cedar repeat their success, or does DSST: Green Valley Ranch have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
