Volleyball Recap: Somers Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

It's playoff time, and Somers had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Pelham Memorial Pelicans with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Tuskers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

While Somers won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14, 25-22.

Somers' victory bumped their record up to 15-4-1. As for Pelham Memorial, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Somers is taking a road trip to take on Tappan Zee at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pelham Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
