After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cole Valley Christian, Marsing was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They really took it to the Wendell Trojans for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-8 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Huskies considering their six-point performance the matchup before.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Moises Montes and Noah Shelton. Montes gained 216 total yards and three touchdowns while Shelton gained 94 total yards and three touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Montes a new career-high in rushing yards (180).
Marsing was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wendell only rushed for 96 rushing yards.

The victory got Marsing back to even at 1-1. As for Wendell, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marsing will challenge Ririe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 884 yards in their previous games. As for Wendell, they will face off against Grace at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
