They claimed a resounding 71-15 win over Anacostia at home. With Archbishop Carroll ahead 46-5 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Archbishop Carroll's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Heidi Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiayo Adelekan, who scored 13 points.
Despite the loss, Anacostia still got an impressive performance from LaNiya Jackson, who scored 3 points along with 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Shayonna Nave was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Archbishop Carroll and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Anacostia, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Archbishop Carroll will head out on the road to face off against Tournament Opponent on Saturday. Anacostia's road trip will continue as they head out to face Surrattsville at 5:40 p.m. on December 8th.
