The University Phoenix were the 80-58 winner over the Weequahic Indians when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. University took a 65-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Leading Weequahic to victory were Bart Jordan and Tyhir Barlow. Jordan scored 20 points, while Barlow scored 23 points.
University has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Weequahic, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-10.
University will head out on the road to square off against the Tornadoes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Orange's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. As for Weequahic, they will look to defend their home court on Sunday against the Indians at 5:30 p.m. Rahway is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
