Carrollton dropped to 11-12 on Tuesday, ending the team's four-match streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Minerva Lions by a score of  3-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  3-1  loss  back in September.
 Emma Shafer paced Carrollton's offense, picking up 15 kills. Shafer got some help from  Rhemee Beadnell and her 23 assists. Finally,  Haley Leslie kept Carrollton's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.
As for Minerva, the  victory was  the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win they have posted  since September 9th.
  Jenna Dowell had a dynamite game,  getting 22  digs and two  aces. That's the most  digs  she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was  Hudson Shellenbarger, who  had ten  digs.
 Carrollton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Minerva, after both having extra time off, they and Beaver Local will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
