Last Monday, St. Lawrence Central earned a 33-26 victory over Colton-Pierrepont. The victory was just what St. Lawrence Central needed coming off of a 72-44 defeat in their prior match.
St. Lawrence Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Lemay, who scored seven points along with six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Ashley, who scored nine points along with seven steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-27, which was the final score in Edwards-Knox's tilt against Lisbon Central on Thursday. Edwards-Knox was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kale Geer, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Allen, who scored 14 points.
Edwards-Knox struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
The win got St. Lawrence Central back to even at 3-3. As for Edwards-Knox, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-6.
Thursday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy contest: St. Lawrence Central have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 27.7 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Edwards-Knox, though, as they've been averaging only 19.6 rebounds per game.
