Hiawatha won the last time they faced Alden-Hebron and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hawks walked away with a 2-0 win over the Green Giants.

Hiawatha easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18.

Delaney Wood paced Hiawatha's offense, picking up 14 kills. Wood got some help from Mallory Banks and her 22 assists. Brielle Molloy controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Hiawatha's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Alden-Hebron, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Coming up, Hiawatha will be taking part in a tournament against East Dubuque at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Alden-Hebron, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Leland at 2:00 p.m.
