Football Recap: Imperial's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Imperial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down the Olympian Eagles 33-14. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mirella Barron had a dynamite game, throwing for 329 yards and four TDs while completing 83.3% of her passes, and also rushing for 32 yards. Addison Clark was Barron's top target, picking up 78 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Imperial didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Clark and Abigail Mencher. Mencher got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Imperial's victory bumped their record up to 8-1-2. As for Olympian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Imperial will challenge Holtville at 8:00 p.m. on September 3. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Olympian, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 47-0 loss against Mission Bay on the 28th.
