After flying high against the Western Brown Broncos on Thursday, the Harrison Wildcats came back down to earth. Harrison fell just short of Milford by a score of 60-57. Even though they lost, Harrison's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.6 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alli Robertson, who scored 18 points. Robertson scored a full 31.6% of Harrison's points, the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Maggie Seiter, who scored 15 points.
Milford found their leader in underclassman Gabby Chadwell, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds. Chadwell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Kelsey McKenney was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Milford, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrison will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Milford will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on West Clermont at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
