South Beloit extended their losing streak  to four  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 9-9 in the process. They lost  12-4 to the Polo Marcos. The Sobos were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Marcos from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.
  Whitney Schnack was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.  Taniyah Crawford was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
As for Polo, their record now sits at 5-14. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the  contest before.
On Polo's side,  Cheyenna (Chey) Wilkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 13 Ks.
 On the hitting side, Polo let  Izabella (Bella) Witkowski and  Camrynn (Cam) Jones run wild. Witkowski  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and one  triple, while  Jones  went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  Witkowski has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Avalyn Henry, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs and two  doubles.
 Coming up, South Beloit will face off against Hiawatha at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Polo, they will take on Milledgeville at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
