The Miami Beach Hi-Tides had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Miami Springs 64-32 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-13.
Miami Beach got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Drew Tobin out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Isaiah Lieberperson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Miami Beach's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Miami Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miami Beach will take on Edison at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Miami Springs, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against North Miami at 7:30 p.m.
