Riverdale hasn't had much luck against Princeton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rams will host the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Riverdale's win against Orion wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams came out on top against the Chargers on Thursday by a score of 7-6 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won five in a row.
Tyler Nadolson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs over five innings pitched. Nadolson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colton Huffman, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Riverdale is undefeated when Huffman posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-9 otherwise. Jax McClaine was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Princeton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.
The result came thanks to Jordan Reinhardt's shutout, as he gave up just seven hits.
At the plate, Ace Christiansen was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Jagers, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Riverdale's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Princeton, their win bumped their record up to 6-4-1.
Riverdale came up short against Princeton when the teams last played back in April of 2023, falling 7-2. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
