Washington has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Wicomico Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Washington suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They took a serious blow against Decatur, falling 74-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Washington has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Wicomico had to suffer through a rough 105-34 loss at the hands of Snow Hill. While losing is never fun, Wicomico can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Snow Hill is ranked 40th).
Washington's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Wicomico, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Washington might still be hurting after the 60-36 loss they got from Wicomico in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Will Washington have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
