The Logansport Berries won the last time they faced the Lewis Cass Kings, and things went their way on Saturday too. Logansport came out on top against Lewis Cass by a score of 58-49.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Logansport to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isaac Russell, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Jacob Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Lewis Cass' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was L.j. Hillis, who scored 18 points. Owen Lowe was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
The win got Logansport back to even at 7-7. As for Lewis Cass, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logansport and Twin Lakes will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Twin Lakes will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. As for Lewis Cass, they will head out on the road to face off against Southwood at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Southwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Tuesday.
