The St. Patrick Shamrocks had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 53-16 victory over St. Charles. The result was nothing new for St. Patrick, who have now won five matches by 23 points or more so far this season.
Brady Leonard had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for ten yards and two touchdowns. Leonard was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Brayden Simon was in the mix as well, providing St. Patrick with two touchdowns.
St. Patrick's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.3 points per game. As for St. Charles, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
