The Ansley/Litchfield Spartans were the 37-32 winner over the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Ansley/Litchfield received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 42-28 to Arcadia/Loup City. Ansley/Litchfield has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Caydence Feldman and Madie Loy certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Feldman scored 13 points along with three steals, while Loy scored four points along with six rebounds and three steals. Feldman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.
Arcadia/Loup City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brianna Lueck, who scored eight points along with five steals. Olivia Fitzgerald was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Ansley/Litchfield has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Arcadia/Loup City, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.
Ansley/Litchfield will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Anselmo-Merna at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Ansley/Litchfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Tuesday. As for Arcadia/Loup City, they will head out on the road to challenge Centura at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Centura's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Arcadia/Loup City has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
