The ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 37-29 victory over Bushnell-Prairie City. The win was just what ROWVA/Williamsfield needed coming off of a 55-26 loss in their prior contest.
Despite the defeat, Bushnell-Prairie City saw an underclassman step up: Jules Kreps scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Nelson, who scored six points.
ROWVA/Williamsfield's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, they bumped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
ROWVA/Williamsfield will be home for the holidays to greet Peoria Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Peoria Heights is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, they will head out on the road to face off against Rushville-Industry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Rushville-Industry is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
