There's no place like home for the Johnston Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Scituate with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 33-14.
Johnston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Steven Finegan led the charge by rushing for 96 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Clements, who threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
Despite the defeat, Scituate had strong showings from Paul Zolkos, who rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown, and Charles Grover, who rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Johnston has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 9-3 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.2 points per game. As for Scituate, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Johnston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Scituate also has no future games currently scheduled.
