Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Don Soffer Aventura). They strolled past the Scheck Hillel Community School Lions with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 44-28. The victory was some much needed relief for the Barracuda as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

It was another big night for Liana Kozko, who posted 24 points. Angelina Gonzalez was another key player, putting up nine points.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Scheck Hillel Community School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Don Soffer Aventura will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sunset at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Scheck Hillel Community School will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Hebrew Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
