Basketball Recap: Dayspring Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Christian School of York

Dayspring Christian Academy entered their tilt with Christian School of York on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their game with ease, bagging a 66-36 victory over Christian School of York. The Warriors pushed the score to 56-32 by the end of the third, a deficit Christian School of York had little chance of recovering from.

Leading Dayspring Christian Academy to victory were Noah Huxta and Gabe Mellinger. Huxta went 10 of 16 on his way to 23 points along with six steals and five assists, while Mellinger dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Huxta's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Swift, who posted six points and five steals.

Dayspring Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Christian School of York, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dayspring Christian Academy will head out to challenge Conestoga Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Dayspring Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three contests. Christian School of York will take on Harrisburg Christian in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
