The United Faith Christian Academy Falcons waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They managed a 61-56 victory over Milton. Given United Faith Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 20th in North Carolina, while Milton is ranked 64th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
United Faith Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but JD Bowden led the charge by scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Sutherland, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
United Faith Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for Milton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
United Faith Christian Academy and Northside Christian Academy will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Milton, they will head out on the road to face off against West Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
