Unity Christian lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Samm Wilbur, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carsen Bennett, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Unity Christian's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Varsity Opponent, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 225-786-8 record this season.
Unity Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tri-State Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th. Allowing an average of 54.5 points per game, Tri-State Christian has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this match. As for Varsity Opponent, they will head out on the road to face off against Frederick Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Frederick Christian Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
