The Hatley Tigers''s game on Thursday was all tied up 20-20 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 42-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hamilton. Hatley has struggled against Hamilton recently, as their contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Hatley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cayson Williams. Despite the final result, he rushed for 243 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry.
Hamilton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Verner, who rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 67 yards and a touchdown. Willie Green also helped out as he racked up 103 rushing yards.
Hatley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Hamilton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.
Hatley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hamilton will be playing at home against O'Bannon at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
