Mabel-Canton is a perfect 10-0 against Schaeffer Academy since November of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will welcome the Lions at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mabel-Canton has five straight victories, Schaeffer Academy has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Thursday, Mabel-Canton got the win against Glenville-Emmons by a conclusive 3-0.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mabel-Canton was: they took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-8, 25-6.

Mabel-Canton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaci Wangsness out in front who had four digs and four aces. What's more, Wangsness posted three assists, the most she's had since back in August. Another player making a difference was Livia Garness, who had six digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Mabel-Canton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Schaeffer Academy came up short against Grand Meadow on Thursday, falling 3-0.
The final score came out to 25-10, 25-10, 25-15.
Schaeffer Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Mabel-Canton, their victory bumped their record up to 25-3.
