The North Paulding Wolfpack pushed their score all the way to 56 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 63-56 to Cartersville. North Paulding lost against Cartersville in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 80-48 score last time.
Nas Bennett was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 1 assists for Cartersville. The contest was Bennett's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Ezell, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
North Paulding's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-12. As for Cartersville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Paulding will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against East Paulding at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. As for Cartersville, they will face off against Rockmart at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rockmart is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
