It was a good run, but the Mountain Empire Redhawks unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 60-51 to Health Sciences. Mountain Empire was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Health Sciences apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Mountain Empire had strong showings from Corey Vann, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds, and Andrew Sepulveda, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Sepulveda is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Shawcroft, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Mountain Empire's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Health Sciences, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-9.
Mountain Empire does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Health Sciences also has no future games currently scheduled.
