Carlisle got themselves on the board against Eastern Mennonite on Friday, but Eastern Mennonite never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Eastern Mennonite Flames as they made off with a 9-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chiefs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

The result came thanks to Cole Scarce's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up 16 Ks. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (one).

At the plate, Luke Carter and Mason Wood did most of the damage at the plate: Carter scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Wood went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Casey Thomas was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

The win got Carlisle back to even at 1-1. As for Eastern Mennonite, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlisle will venture away from home to face off against The Covenant at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern Mennonite will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Cross at 5:00 p.m. on March 27th.
