The Granite Hills Eagles pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 81-61 loss at the hands of Norco. Granite Hills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Matthew Mendias, who scored 28 points along with six assists and four steals for Norco. The match was Mendias' 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ramiro Morales, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 assists.
Granite Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Norco, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-7.
Granite Hills and High Tech SD will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. High Tech SD is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Norco will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Redlands East Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Redlands East Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday.
