Taylor is 2-8 against Carlson since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Taylor Griffins will head out on the road to face off against the Carlson Marauders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Taylor was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-41 to Trenton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Taylor has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Carlson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They fell to Edsel Ford 52-46.
Despite the loss, Carlson got a solid performance out of Joshua Anderson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Lavis, who scored six points.
Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Carlson, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Taylor came up short against Carlson when the teams last played back in February, falling 44-37. Can Taylor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
